OVERTURES

Geometric Unity
Carlos Izcaray‘s orchestral overture Geometric Unity, was premiered online by the American Youth Symphony during quarantine in May 2020. Izcaray leads a virtual orchestra of 24 AYS musicians, performing remotely throughout the U.S. The work was later performed in person by AYS in September 2021 at UCLA’s Royce Hall.

Under the Shadows – An Immigrant’s Journey
Autobiographical. Premiered by the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. West Coast premiere at Walt Disney Concert Hall with AYS. Performed by Eugene Symphony.
