RPS Awards: nominations announced
Huge congratulations to cellist Laura van der Heijden on being shortlisted for the 2025 Royal Philharmonic Society Instrumentalist Award. With nominations announced today, the winner will be revealed at the Awards Ceremony in Birmingham on 6th March, at which Laura will perform.
On the nomination, Laura says “I feel very honoured to be nominated for the RPS Instrumentalist Award and to be among so many fantastic musicians I greatly admire! In the past few years, I have increasingly felt driven to develop my own voice, and to see it being recognised is very special. I am extremely grateful for the support and encouragement I’ve received from those around me and for all of the opportunities I’ve been given!”
