Conductor Karen Ní Bhroin has been cultivating a strong and dynamic relationship with the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) through her involvement in their education and community programmes. Her dedication to fostering musical growth and community engagement was showcased on 13th June when she conducted the LSO Discovery Showcase at the Barbican Hall. This event featured nearly 200 performers from various LSO initiatives, including the LSO Discovery Choirs, LSO Connect, and LSO Next Generation, highlighting the orchestra’s commitment to nurturing talent across different generations and boroughs. The programme included new pieces composed by the participating groups, and a thrilling performance of John Adams’ “Short Ride in a Fast Machine” performed by the LSO.
