Over the last few weeks, album releases have come thick and fast with exciting additions to the discographies of several JBM artists.

Pianist Benjamin Grosvenor joined forces with fellow celebrated artists Nicola Benedetti and Sheku Kanneh-Mason for Beethoven’s Triple Concerto alongside folk song settings with baritone Gerald Finley released on Decca Classics. “As rivals, Benedetti, Grosvenor and Kanneh-Mason were powerful; as allies and advocates they are unstoppable.” (The Sunday Times).

We also welcomed two new releases on Chandos Records from cellist Laura van der Heijden: her debut concerto album and premiere recording of Cheryl Frances Hoad’s ‘Earth, Sea, Air’ with the BBC Scottish and Ryan Wigglesworth, and quartets of Brahms and Le Beau with her Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective, the first volume of a series to come.

Rounding off the current crop of releases is violinist Francesca Dego’s most recent recording, also on Chandos Records. Teaming up with Martin Owen, horn and pianist Alessandro Taverna, the charismatic trio presents works by Brahms, Ligeti, Mozart, and Schumann.

Happy listening!
