Valo Quartet makes Finnish Debut

On Sunday 19th May, the Valo Quartet reunited to make its Finnish debut, closing the Helsinki Seriös 23-24 season performing a programme of Haydn, Szymanowski and Korngold in the Sibelius Academy Concert Hall. Violinists Maria Włoszczowska and Tim Crawford stayed on until Monday 20th May to lead masterclasses with students of the Sibelius Academy.
Next month the quartet looks forward to making its Italian debut at the Trasimeno Festival, performing a programme of Purcell, Szymanowski, and Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Quintet for guitar and strings Op. 143 with classical guitarist Petrit Çeku at Castle of the Knights of Malta, Magione.
Later this year the quartet will return to Brussels to perform in the Musiq3 Festival (3 October 2024, 8 pm).
