Tonight Italian Maestro Enrique Mazzola conducts the opening night of Donizetti’s Anna Bolena at Deutsche Oper Berlin, where he is Principal Guest Conductor. With a star cast featuring the likes of Federica Lombardi, this much-anticipated David Alden production runs until 26 December.

This concludes a wonderful year for Enrique who has conducted critically-acclaimed new productions in Amsterdam, Zurich and Chicago as well as Herodiade in concert in Berlin, a Mozart and Mahler project with Berner Symphoniker and Hélène Grimaud and both Ernani and Madame Butterfly at the Bregenz Festival. Early in 2024 he returns to The Lyric, Chicago for both Champion and Aida before coming to Amsterdam for Roberto Devereux.
