Christian Kluxen conducts the Pacific Symphony
Following a triumphant return to the Victoria Symphony, of which he is Music Director, to open their 2023/24 season, Christian Kluxen has travelled down the Pacific coast to Costa Mesa for his debut concerts with the Pacific Symphony. Taking place at the famed Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, part of one of California’s premiere cultural institutions, the performances will put Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5 centre-stage, preceded in the first half by Lili Boulanger’s D’un soir triste and Sibelius’ masterpiece violin concerto, with Esther Yoo as soloist.
Upon his return to Europe Christian ventures to Finland next, to perform his first concerts as Principal Guest Conductor of the Turku Philharmonic, which will feature Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem.
